Our flagship course, the Emergency Trauma Management Course is a 3-day medical short course designed to teach Emergency Medicine practitioners the essential skills and knowledge required to manage trauma in the Emergency Department. Launched in November 2013, the course has already received strong positive feedback from participants, and with international interest from India, Canada and the Netherlands, we are aiming to grow the ETM brand in 2014.

Andy is an Emergency Physician from Melbourne.  He runs a very popular blog with over 1,500 members, EDExam (which includes a podcast), designed for people who are attempting the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine Fellowship Exam.  His other interests include simulation, online education, and business applications of Social Media. He is an Examiner for the Teemwork AMC Course for International Medical Graduates, a guest undergraduate medical student lecturer at Monash University, and an Advanced Paediatric Life Support Instructor. Andy recently volunteered as a mentor for Dutch Emergency doctors in the Modulaire Nascholing SEH-artsen (MNSHA) Emergency Medicine Masterclass. He recently completed a 6-month Spine Trauma Fellowship with the Alfred Hospital Trauma Service.  Andy serves on the board of the James Macready-Bryan Foundation, an organisation that provides financial support for care and rehabilitation and a public voice for young sufferers of acquired brain injury.

Andy works as an Emergency Physician at the Alfred Hospital and Cabrini Private Hospital, and as a regular locum at the Royal Darwin Hospital.

Dr Amit Maini

Amit is an Emergency Physician from Melbourne.  He runs a highly successful medical education blog, ED Trauma and Critical Care. He splits his clinical time between the Alfred Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne, Mersey Hospital in Devonport Tasmania (where he is co-Director), as well as regular locum work around the country.

Amit is a regular guest on top Emergency Medicine/Critical Care podcasts including EMRAP and PHARM.  He has special interest in emergency airway management and the use of video laryngoscopy, as well as human factors/non-technical skills in emergency department resuscitation.
